AUCKLAND, Last night. Owing to a clispute between the Seamen's Union and A." G. Frankham, Limited, owners of tlie auxiliary schooner Hokianga, the schooner has been declared blaek, and members of the uniou are now debarfed from signing 011 the vessel. The Hokianga carries a erew of eight, including two able seamen and oue ordinary seamau. Ilie dispute is due to tlie fact that A. G. Fraukliam, Limited, are not members of the Shipowners' Federa,tion, and the conqia ny will not work three seamen on tlie Hokianga in accordanee witli an agreement made by the Shipowners' Fedcration ancl the Seamen's Union. The latter is not registered under the Arbitration Act. and the union ea n not cile Frankham' s to become a party to the agreement. N011union lahour has been engaged to fill the seamen' s positions on tlio Hokianga.
