SMALL YARD1NG RECORDED. COAIPETITION VERY KEEN. There was a very fair attendance of buyers at Stortford Lodge saleyards to-day, but the varding of cattle was very small with the result that bidding was keen, particularly for beef offerings. Prime bullocks realised up to £15, fats bringing £12 10s to £14 5s. For fat cows the best price was £14 and for heavy cows £13 7s 6d, wliile for lighter sorts tlie prices ranged from ; £8 19s 6d to £9 10s. Fat keifers were 1 in keen demand, prices ranging from j £11 10s to £13 los. For dairy cows : the bidding ranged between £6 los and : £12. Vealers brougbt £3. Tlie varding of sbeep' was also very ] small, "the short supplv causing a i keen demand. Fat wethers realised i from 27s 6d to 33s and fat ewes of j good quality 24s to 31s 6d.
