SOME FAST FLYING
HASTINGS MOTH'S QUICK TRJP. "BACK FOR LUNCH." Captain Trevor White, in company with Mr G. G. Stead as a passenger, was responsible for some pretty fast flying in the Hawke's Bay Aero Club's Moth plane yesterday. The fliers left Hastings at 9.30 a.m. and paid a visit to Feilding, Rata and Taihape, spending at least half an hour in each place, but they were back in Hastings at midday, in time for lunch. This afternoon at 3.30 o'clock, Captain White was to leave in the Moth on a visit to Gisborne, returning tomorrow morning. His passenger for this trip was Captain Kigkt, of Dannevirke. In conversation with a Telegraph reporter this morning, Captain White I said he was being kept very busy with instructional work, for in addition to Hastings trainees, he had now seven or eight from Napier, learning fo fly. He expressed the opinion that within 12 months, several Hawke's Bay flyers would be possessing their own private machines.
