THE OAKBANK AT NAPIER
. — DISCHARGING AT THE BREAKWATER. VISIT OF MOTOR VESSEL. Tlie Weir Line motor shipv Oakbank, of 5154 tons, arrived at Napier, 011 Saturday and bertlied at the Breakwater at 6 a.m. to-day. Tlie vessel, left Tampico, Mexico, on August 2 with 6300 tons of asphaltum for discliarge at New Zealand ports. Colon was reached 011 August 27 and Auckland on September 23. At Auckland 1800 tons were discharged at the Western wliarf before the vessel left for Napier. Tlie Oakbank. which draws 21 feet. was dealt with expeditiously_ at the Breakwater to-day anel the 500 tons destined for this port were quickly discharged so that arrangements could he liiade for lier departure this evening for Wellington, tlience Lyttelton, Wanganui and New Plymoutli. The Oakbank is another example of the efficiency of motor vessels, a number of which have discharged their cargo at the Napier Breakwater during past nionths. The vessel carries a crew of 43 in all, the officers being Europeans and the crew Indians. Captain J. J. Tullock is in command.
