ONE IN SERIOUS CONDITION.

WAIROA, Tliis day. Five Puhlic Works Department men employed 011 the Waikaremoana road works were warming gelignite in a tent on Saturday when a premature explosion occurred. All were injured, three being taken to hospital. Mi" Ricliard Dalhouse suffered extensive burns had his hand shattered and arai amputated. His condition is serious. Alr George Leckie's left leg was injured. Dlr Joseph Gohlsmith suffered abrasions to the hody and face. " The other two were slightly hurt.
