THE RIVERS PROBLEM
CONFERENCE IN WELLINGTON. BATCH OF "ARGUMENT" GOES SOUTH. The south bound express train from Hastings this morning was well loaded with a batch of "argument" for the purpose of meeting tlie Parliamentary bills. cdmmittee and again discussing tlie Rivers Board bill. Represeuting the Rivers Board, there were Messrs H. R. Clark, J. A. McDonald, G. Latham and G. Purvis, whilst Mr 3'. Oonovan, also a memher of tlie board, went down. On hehalf of tlie opposition to tlie selieme the board is now fostering, there were Messrs W. Tucker, 0. Hellver, J. E. Laiie, C. K. Tattersall, • and Messrs Ike Rohin and P. H. Tomoana for the Alaori residents. Mr J. A. Simson goes south this afternoon. AL- H. Ian Simson also went tbrough to join in tlie argument, but he is not taking any official part. The wliole inatter will lie thrashed out before the bill's committee at 9.30 o'clock to-morrow mornirg.
