A'esterday ai'ternoon the members of the Hastings Orplians' Club paid their aniuial visit to Parke Tsland Home, and treated tlie imnates to a tlioroughlv enjoyable eoneert, wliicli emhraeed manv of tlie songs and tnnes of "the long ago," and was eonsequentlv higlily appreciated by tlie inmajtes. The oreliestra, under the baton of Orplian C. Bryant. rentlered' a number of seleetions. A cornet duet was given by Orphans Tavlor and Brooker, and songs were rendered hy Orplians R. Horsefield, C. Brassey, FT. J. Sanders, H. Eile and F. Pipe. Tlie visitors were lieartilv tlianked by 4Jr Hay Cliapman for their attendaiice and their -eoneert. Deputy-Chief P. Jackson replying in the ahseuee of CTiief Orplian J. Bewley, who was indisnosed. Following tlie visit to Parke Tsland. the orplians gathered at the Assemblv "FTall, where 1 liev partook of tea. and later attended a special ehureli parade m St. Afatthew's Church. wbere the vicar, Orplian Mortimer-Jones, delivered a very intercsting and appropriate sermon .
