YVHAT POLICE FQUND AT A FIRE.
CHRISTCHURCH, Last night. YVhen the fire brigade and the police arrived on the scene of a fire at the Star Stores Ltd., grocery shop, 178 High street, they found fires burning fiercely in two separate parts of the shop and a door leading from a yard at the rear into a storeroom broken open, with three sets of jemmy xnarks showiug how entrv was effected. It was an obvious case of incendiarism Fairly extensive damage was done to tlie shop property and to the stock, hut little dqmage was caused to the bulding.
