The Ha.stiugs West rcsidents wrolo to last uight's meeting of the Hastings Borough Council stating that there was now sufficienb funds in hand to construct a swimmiug batli at the Hastings West School, 75 feeb by 40 ieot, and as there was not sufhcient water from an artesian flow to fili the hath, they asked the council to fi'l the batlis wcekly and twice weeklv on special occasions. It was dccidcd that tlie matter be referred to the horough engineer, partieularlv in regard to getting rid of the water when the bath is emptied.
