The Anglers' club, of wliich the bridegroom is « prominent member, formed a guard of lionour with tlieir fishing rods tlirough which the bridal partv passecl into the hotel. Mrs Ross, mother of the hride, wore a- handsome froek of black clicnille emgossed georgette and a black hat with crown of guipure lace and earried a bouquet of apricot nn? red roses and pansies. Mrs Crooks, mother of the bridegrcom, wore a sniart model of cinliamon brown crepe de cliine, with hat in the same colour and earried a bouquet of beautiful flowers. Tlie Rev. Mortimer-Jones proposed the toa.st of the bride and hridegroom, wliich was drunk with musical honours. Other toasts and felicifous speeches l'ollowcd. AYhen leaving on the honeymoon, which will he spenb in a tour of the North Island, tlie hride looked cliarming in an ensemble, l'rock in brown and fawn toues and coat to niateh and a French hat in same colours. The popularity of the young couple was expressed in the many valuahlc and handsome gifts they received. The bridegroom's present to the hride was a diamond chister ring and the hride's jiresent to tlie hridegroom was gold cuff links and studs. The hridegrooms presents to the hridesmaids were skunk necklets. All the decorations were the work of Yliss Majorie Ebbett, and were greatly admired. On their return from the honevnioon, Mr and Mrs c. Crooks will reside at the Grand Hotel. Hastings.
