CONDOLENCE
hastings borough council. Prior to the start of the Hastings Borough Council meeting last night, reference was made by the Deputy Ma.vor, Cr. r. Henderson, to the death of the late Mr m. Johnson. Cr. Henderson said that Mr Johnson had heen a member of the council for six'yeavs, the last two of which he had served as deputy mayor and he had done a great work for the horough. "He spared no time or expense to further any work taken in liand by the boi-ough," concluded CrHenderson. a resolution of condolence with the relatives was earried in silence.
