The Daily Herald's Geneva correspondent states tbat vSir Eric Druminorid is going to London to see Mr Henderson for the special purpose, tbe implieation being that the idea is Sir Eric Drummond 'e own. Tbe Daily Telegrapb's diplomatie eorrespondent says, "ITie idea bas previously been mooted 111 varyiug forms, but in any case it is one tbe British Government will not countena.nee for a moment, because its main concern is to keep free from war commitments." Tlie Morning Post's naval eorres- [ pondent elasses tbe report as part of a eonsiderable amount of kite-flvilig in view of tbe naval eonference. Tlie Daily Herald's Paris eorrespondent takes up tlie subjcet. He savs, "M. Brinud's view is that Britain bns already disroverod a eriten'nn by wliich «he can measure Imr needs in tbe direetion of seeurity. Franee must now attempt. to diseover a siniilar eriterion. Anv external guarantee would play a valnable part in tbe diseussion of Mediterranean parity."
