NAPIER HOMING CLUB. . RACES FROM OTAKI AND PALMERSTON NORTH. The Napier Homing Club held a flock race from Otaki, 127 miles airline, on Saturday last. The birds were liberated at 11 a.m., the winning bird taking four hours to fly the distance. Mr H. B. Tru'bshoe has now done the hat trick, providing the winner of the last three races. Results were : — H. B. Trubshoe's Sunrise, Vel. 911.86 y.p.m., 1; W. S. Strother's Ah Fong, 896.3Q y.p.m., 2 ; L Holschier's Tourist, 893.68 y.p.m., 3; H. B. Trubshoe's Spot, 889.71 y.p.m., 4. The Palmerston North single-up race was held during the week end. Rgsults were as follow : — L. Holschier's Full Swing 1, P. Spiller's Black Duke 2, H. B. Trubshoe's Bonzo 3, C-. C. Willis' Hard' Luck 4. ' ^ - The winner took' just on seven hours, a very poor fly.
