OBITUARY

MR RODERICK MACDONALD. Many people throughout Hawke's Bay will learn with extreme regret of the death of Mr "Rnderick AlacDonald, which occurred at his son-in-law's residence at Maraekakaho. The deceased gentleman, who was 83 years of age, was well known throughout the whole district, as for over 40 years he was stud sheplierd at _ Maraekakaho. Being of a genial and very straiglitforward disposition, he made many friends, by whom liis death will he sadly mournecl. His wife predeceased him some few years ago and to mourn his loss he leaves a grown-up family of two sons and two daugliters, to whom the most sincere sympatliy will 'he extendcd. The i'uneral will leave Maraekakaho tomorrow afternoon, arriving at the Hastings cemeterv at three o'clock.
