ON A RACECOURSE
DEBAItRED MAN'S BHEACH. A FINE INFLICTED. This morping at the Hastings Magistrate Court before Mr A. M. Mowlem S.M., Edwin Esmond R. Luttrell was charged with on February 27, 1930, being a person who was excluded from a racecourse, lie was found on the Dannevirke racecourse, Accuse-d pleaded guilty. Detective Farquharson„ said. that accused was attendiiig a horse on the* racecourse, liaving been eniployed by an owner. When asked to leave 'the course, the - accused. at onc-e left. He had been previously convicted o-f an offence wliich debarred him from being on a racecourse. Accused said he did not attend the races for sport, but he was on business. He had applied to the ^lacing Conference for a clearance but this application had. been adjourned. His Worship said he was preparecl to take a lenient view of the position and would inflict a fine of £3, costs 10s.
