PAIxMERSTON N., This day. A verdict that deceased met his death hy drowning in the Manawatu River, was returned by the Coroner at the inquest coneerning the death of an unknown man, whose body was found in the river on February 9. Tbe police gave evidence that all efforts to estahlish deceased's identity had failed. . J There appeared to he a numher of people, with no. kith and kin, nor any friends, and their passing was not noticed.
