TOUR OF BRITISH TEAM There is to be no broadcasting of matches to be played on Saturdays and on June 3 by the British Rugby team during its tour of New Zealand in the coming season. A decision to this effect was made by the 'Management Conimittee of the^ New Zealand Rugby TJnion in "Wellington last week, when an application was received for the broadcasting of two big matches to be played in Palmerston ,North — the Possibles v. -Probables and the British team's match. r The opinion was expressed hy the chairman, Mr S. four tests were broadcast duh matches throughout New Zealand on the days of the tests would be "killed" There was no objection to broadcasting reports after the matches, but the varions unions in the Dominion had to be considered and a definite stand had been taken. It was decided not to grant permission for the broadcasting of the British team's match in Palmer ston. Nortli , but that permission he given for the Broadcasting of the Possibles v. Probablee match." With regard to broadcasting generally, it was resolved that the committee did not approve of the British team's Saturday _ matches throughout New Zealand being broadcast and that broadcasting of Wednesday matches would be considered later.
