DUNEDIN, This day. Over 600 have been enrolled on the Trades Hall unemployment . register, and the secretary has replied. to the Minister of Publlc Works, expressing resentment at hi& wire easting douhts on the authenticity of the figures. The Minister of Railways was invited this morning to exaniine the • register, but proposed waiting for his . xeturn to Wellington before acting. Mr , Taverner also informed 'the Unemployment Committee' .that the men put off ihe forestry works would not be long nnemployed.
