WELL STOCKED

YOUNG TROUT IN RIVERS. GOOD WORK OF ACCLIMATISATION SOCIETY. From an angler's angle, the Hawke's Bay rivers promise well for next seasoii. Many rods have caught dozens of small trout in a day and, in accordance with the directions on the license, bave returned them to the water immediately. In some instances the small trout are so quick that a larger fisli is given no opportunity to hook itself.

The condition of the waters speaks well for the efforts of the Hawke's Bay Acclimatisation Society for, unless during the Winter contmual floods keep silt suspended in the waters long enough to harm the fish, next season i- likely to be one of the best of seasons for trout fishing, and anglers sfcould find the fish rising as they rose in 1926.
