NAPIER CLUB.
The Napier green was on the heavy side, but the weather, although not promising, kept fine, and some very even games were played. Considerable interest was taken in the game between Schmoll and Evans owing to Fitzhenry and Oliver, who had tied for lead in the Saturday rinks, playing off the tie in the game. The match was very close and interesting throughout, Schmoll beating Evans by one point, the latter requiring two to tie in the last head and only obtaining a single. This left Fitzhenry the winner of the leads in the Saturday rinks. The other positions were won by Cooke in the twos. Lvdford in the threes. and Hunt in the skips.
