WEDDING BELLS
HAMMOND— WATSON A vex-y pretty wedding was solemnised at St. Mary's Angiican Church, Waipxikurau, ou Easter Monday. The contracting parties were Miss Henrietta Mary \Vatson, second daughter of Mi-s and tlie late Mr A. Watson, Racecoux-so road, Waipukurau, and Mr Hax-ry Joseph Hammond, son of Mr and Mrs H. W. Hammonnd, Porangahau road, Waipukurau. The nupial rites wex-e performed by the Rev Canon E. D. Rice, M.A. The bride who was givpn away by her brother, Mr Frank Watson, was attired in a charming dress of ivory satin beaute, trimmed with pearls, and having an uneven hem line. She wore a dainty embroidered veil, surmounted with orange blossoms ; aieu sti*ex- oxiyw* and stockings, and carried a beautiful bouquet of chrysanthemnms and maiden-hair fern. The bridesmaid was Miss Norma Wharmby, of Waipukurau, who wore a pretty dress of Hue crepe-de-chine, and hat to match, and canied a bouquet of chrysanthemums and maidenhair fern. The duties of best man were ably carried out by Mr Frank Hammond, of Napier, a cousin of the bridegroom. _ The bride' s travelling dress was of sillr stockingette, with hat and shoes to tone. She also wore a bandsome fox fur, the gift of the bridegroom. The popular couple left later by train for Auckland, where the boneymoon is to he_ spent. Their future home will he in Waimtkurau-
