FORMATION FLYING

HAWKE'S BAY AERO CLUB'S 'PLANES. SOME ADVANCED TUITION. The Hawke's Bay Aero Club gave a most interesting display on Thursday afternoon over Hastings. Three 'planes took part in the aerial stunt, which entranced hundreds of onlookers, who followed with keen interest the clever gymnastics in the air. The weather was ideal for flying. The bright Sun reflecting on the silver sides. of the 'planes presented a beautiful sight, which was enjoyed by the spectators on terra firma. It is to be hoped that a similar display will be staged at the Hastings Royal Show in October. It would be appreciated by the thousands who will be present. The formation flight which was seen is known as the "Prince of Wales feather," and is part of the advanced flying course which is being taken by several pilots in Hastings.
