CERTIFICATION SCHEME SUCCESSFUL. HAWKE'S BAY FARMERS ENTEKING PASTURES. FINE WEATHER HELPS MATTERS. The fine weather which has ruled during the past couple of days will Be anpreciated by all members of the farming community in Hawke's Bay, but by none to such an extent as by those faripers who intend setting aside certain of their pastures for tlie harvesting of Hawke's Bay certified ryegrass seed this year. A large number of Hawke's Bay farmers have decided to enter their pastures in the certification seheme for the first time this year and it is anticipated that by tlie time applications elose, the applications in hand will show a very considerable inerease on last year. The same state of affairs exists in the Gisborne district. The popularity attained by certificated ryegrass seed last season was demonstrated by tlie remarkable manner in which it was snapped up at retail prices ranging from £1 to £1 2s per bushel.
