Cbrysantbemuins can be planted. Tbe ground is in good planting condition just now. Dalxlia planting can be dcfne during the next month. Watcli for signs of aphis on chx-y-santhemums and spray at first sigu. Wliere astex-s bave been sown in the open ground, tbin out tbe plants as soon as lai-ge enougb. Asters growu in boxes can be planted out. Good soil well worked, is requix-ed to produce good blooms. Aster seed can be sown outside, but tbe sooner the better, as tbe season is getting on. Planting of sueh tbings as zixinias, salpigldssis, celosia, and salvia can be done. Blubs sbould be lifted as foliage dies away. Iris Tingitana sbould be lifted when the foliage turns yellow. Lay in tbe sun to dry tliorougbly. Early flowering bulbs such as lacbenalias and freesias, can be lifted at once. Tulips sbould be lifted when tbe foliage yellows; do not let them remaiix until tbe foliage lxas died completely dowxi.
