IN THE WATER
HERETAUNGA SWUIMING CLUB. The usual weekly committee meeting of the Heretaunga Swimming Club was held last night, Mr L. J. Fisher presiding. The programme approved for next Fridav night was as follows : — Boys.' race, 25 yards ; gixls' 25 yards ; B grade handicap, 25 yards; ladies' 50 yai'ds; clnh handicap, 75 yards; open diving; novice diving; novelty, hobhy h'orses; teams' race. The trophy for the ladies5 rac'e is a valuahle special prize, donated hy Miss V. McKenzie. The secretary was instructed to write thanking Miss McKenzie for her generous gift. The delegates to the combined meeting of the Mahora, Havelock and Heretaunga Clubs, reported on the business of the meeting and eomnient was made on the fine feeling of comradeship prevailing amongst all those cluhs. In vlew of the date decided on for the first Rainbow Shield events clashing with another important fuxiction, it was decided to endeavoxxr to get the events off in eonjunotion with the Mahora Clnh night 011 Decemher 18. . Tn return, the hlahora Clnh will he allowed the use of the Heretaunga Cluh night at a later date.
