Pig iron — Glasgow warrants, No. 1, 490 3d per ton f.o.b. in Clyde, is 3d lower. Copper, Chili. — The market is very firm. Spot sales, J256 2s 6d per ton ; three months" quotation, -656 2s Gd. Tin — On the spot is selling at .£3l 2s 6d ] per ton ; atthreefmonths ib is at .£B2 30s. Lead (spot, foreign), J613 10s per ton; spelter, at .£24 12s 6d per ton, Christchurch, This Dat. The second of the series of local wool sale 3 was held yesterday. Out of 5*86 baleß catalogued 3245 changed hands, a fuir proportion being taken by the Now Zealand mills. Tha wool for the most part came forward in very bad condition, owing to the unfavourable season, and the bulk of the entry consisted of farmers' clips, the wet weather keeping shearing back on the outside stations. There was a keen demand for merinos and- the best of the fine wools,which pold at well up to pricer realised at • the corresponding sale last year; but the coarser kinds and inferior sorts suffered a decline of £d to Id per lb.
