SEVERE EFFECTS' IN SOUTH , AFRICA.
(ACSTRAMAN-HBW ZEALAND CADLB AfesOCIATION.) , CAPETOWN, sth October. The spread of Spanish influenza is assuming unprecedented proportions. Nothing like it has evev been known. Every industry and public department. is more or less seriously affected. The epidemic is apparently reaching its height on the Rand, but is increasing at Capetown, while at Kimberley 200 deaths are reported amongst the natives.
