The common gull breeds abundantly in Scotland and the North o£ Ireland. 'The herring g,,ir nests on Lundy Island, nt Flamboroiifili, in the Channel Islands, nv.-l at some places on the south and southwest coasts o£ England, as "well as in Wales, Ireland, and Scotland.
