AUSTRALIAN RACING
NEW ZEALAND'S YEAR
(Received 23rd December, 2 p.m.)
SYDNEY, This Day. The 'Herald," commenting on the season's racing, says: "This may go down in turf annals so far as New South Wales and Victoria are concerned as New, Zealand's year. Horses from the Dominion had_ their share of wins in the Spring Carnivals here and in Melbourne. The Cup place-getters were bred across the Tasman, and on Saturday the ball was kept in motion by Veilmond taking the Nursery and Papatu the Holiday Handicap. Then Patadawn made a wonderful run from a distance and left his opponents well behind."
