(From "The Post's" Representative.) LONDON, 14Hi November. The engagement is announced of George- do Vasconccllos Welsh, of Funchal, Madeira, and Theo, daughter of Mr. ana Mrs. H. J. Beswick, of 45, Thurlo square, and New Zealand. At yesterday's meeting of the council of the Boyal College of Surgeons, with Lord --Moynihan in the chair, Diplomas of Membership were granted to a number of students. Among them were Messrs. H. S. H. Gilmer (Cambridge University, and St. George's Hospital), (son of Dr. Hamilton Gilmer, of Wellington), and N. D. Matson (Otago and Charing Cross Hospital). Miss M. D. Creasy (Nelson) is taking her training as a nurse at St. Thomas's Hospital, and she expects to be there for at least another three years.
