A team from the Greytown Rifle Club visited Trentham on Saturday to fire a friendly match against the Petone Rifle Club.

The match was fired over the 300, 500, and 600 yards ranges (seven shots), and tho shooting conditions were certainly an improvement on recent Saturdays, except that a right wind required careful attention.

At 300 yards the team totals were fairly even, but the shooting was not of a high standard. For Greytown G. Tc Waiti registered 32, T. Orr and H. Waldcn 31 each. The highest scorers for Tetone were K. H. Nicholi, W. M'lver, and W. H. Ballin;;er, with 31 each. Greytown led hero by 2 points. Pedersen, and A. Ballinger 32 each. Petone took the lead here by a narrow margin of 3 points. The test came at 600 yards, and here the local club seemed to 'collar" the conditions better than the visitors. President H. Feast recorded the fine score of 33, and'topped the scoring for Greytown, J. C. Feast, W. J. Feast, and P. Bouzald each scoring 31. For Pe. tone, H. Dickson was top scorer with 33, followed, by T.
