DE LUXE THEATRE.
Operations of a crafty group of Jewellery thieves who pose as aristocrats, and the adventures of a clever girl detective assigned to tun these thieves to earth, furnish the material for 'The Girl From Havana," at . the De luxe Theatre. The fllmVng of this picture took place amid the broad,, palmlined avenues of Havana, tho sugar plantations of Balboa, In the Canal Zone, and on board a steamer passing through the Panama Canal. Lola Lane givos a splendid performance as the girl detective. The young woman poses as a show girl In order to make the acquaintance of jewel thieves on board a ship plying from Los Angeles to Havana. Paul Page, who plays opposite to Miss Lane, Is a comparative newcomer to the screen. He plays the part of a young man who Joins the jewel thieves to find out which one of them shot his father. Other players of note in the supporting cast are Natalie Moorhead, Joseph Girard, Warren Hymer, Adele Windsor, Juan Sedlllo, and Kenneth Thomson. There ia a good supporting programme, which includes a Fox Movietone News, Pathe News, hilarious comedy, and an excellent music featurette dealing with the life and work of Brahms. The music of the orchestra, under the direction of Mr. L. D. Austin, Is excellent. "The Merry Wives of Windsor" (Nlckolal) is played as an overture, while later on in the evening "Coppelia" (Dellbes) is given. Mr. Paul T. Cullen is at the Wurlitzer organ. The management of the De Luxe Theatre announces that on Christmas Night a special and appropriate musical programme will be given, the Orchestra De Luxe and the Wurlitzer ■unit both contributing.
