INTENTION OP LOYALTY

LONDON, 20th December.
■M. Sokolnikoff's official statement points out that there is a sound economic and political basis for the complete renewal of Anglo-Eussian diplomatic relations, rendering stable inter-trading possible. It was a favourable sign that Soviet orders placed in London amounted to £.3,687,000 in October and November, compared to £.1,195,000 a year ago. There were still difficulties to be overcome, but British manufacturers should study Soviet requirements in connection with electric power stations, which absorb 450 millions sterling.
_ Eussia was preparing to settle financial claims after accounting for coun-ter-claims and providing developmental consolidatory measures ensuring the prosperity of Soviet industries.
"AYe have every intention of loyally fulfilling our obligations, but we rely on friendly countries recognising the unalterable basis on which our political system is founded." he added.
