OFFENCES AGAINST WOMEN

SEVEN CASES IN CANADA

VANCOUVER, 21st December.

Unprecedented in Canadian criminal history, no fewer than seven men and youths were given penitentiary sentences with iifteen lashes each to-day by Judge MaeDonald for offences against women and girls.

Three got fifteen years for criminal asault, one two years for abduction, and three others two years for statutory offences.
