LIGHTNING DAMAGE AT TE AROHA
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) TB AEOHA, This Day. During a heavy thunderstorm yesterday afternoon lightning struck the chimney of a residence of E. L. Scott at Te Aroha. A heavy mantelpiece was dislodged and thrown into a room in which Mr. and Mrs. Scott and five children were assembled. Fragments of cement and brickwork were' scattered all over the room. No one was seriously injured. The storm was widespread, and was the most violent experienced at To Aroha for many years. The Thames Valley Power Board's stall had a busy time as the result of fuses blowing out all over the district, but the damage, though general, was of a minor nature.
