WORK BY ROTARY

CHBISTCHUECH, This Day. At the band and musical concert in the hospital grounds yesterday, organised by the Christchurch Eotary Club on behalf of the poor, the sum of £110 was collected, a considerable increase on last year's effort. The grand total of nearly £680, including the collection in streets last Friday, exceeded that of 1928 by over £100. It is tho intention of the Eotary Club to deliver hampers laden with eatables to a large number of eases of poverty and hardship which have come under its notice.
