GISBOKNE, This Day. A motor-lorry proceeding f rom Gisborne to Jluatoria at 10.30 last night went over a bank at Takapau Hill.' A passenger named Mark Borlace, aged 40, was killed. The night was dark, and the visibility bad owing to the heavy rain. The driver, Ben Reedy, and another passenger escaped unhurt. Borlace was alive for .some time after the accident, but was pinned under the lorry and died before he could be extricated. The deceased was a carpenter. He was a married man and leaves a | family of eight young children.
