f r _ GISBORNB, 23ra December. ' '■£ distressing accident terminated fatally to-night, when the death occurred of Miss Isabel (Eangi) Bruce, the teeventeen-year-oia daughter of Mr. and JMrs/SV, O. Bruce, of Whangara. She •was one of the most popular girls in the district, and a well-known crosscountry rider. She was lighting a fire on Wednesday morning, wKen a tin of ,:niethylated spirits exploded, causing serious burns. . .
