SOLDIERS FIRE
ON WOMEN AND CHILDREN 41 KILLED. 25 WOUNDED. (Aust. and N.Z. Cable). New York. June 12. News from Porto Algere, in Brazil, states that II merrymakers, mostly women ami children, were killed, and 25 wounded by a detachment of soldiers who wen* refused admission to a hall at Monohay. 'The soldiers tired on the dancers, and those alleged to be- responsible have been arrested.
