CRUTCHING SALE

FIRST OF THE SEASON. MANY BUYERS ATTEND. KEEN COMPETITION. VERY SATISFACTORY PRICES (By Telegraph.—Special to Star) Wellington, Nov. 11. The N.Z. Farmers’ Co-op. Distributing Co. reports as follows: Wo held our iirst crutehing sale of (lie season to-day. our offering consisting of some 2(10 bales, mainly composed of crutchings. and a few odd bales of lleoco and oddments. There was an exceptional "attendance of buyers for such a sale and keen competition was met with. Buying was not. confined to any particular branch

of the trade, all sections operating, with the result that practically the whole offering was cleared under the hammer at very satisfactory prices. One line of super crutchings in our catalogue, branded ".JUD/Ngntawa,” realised the excellent, ligure of 10pl, and several other lots brought I()d to lOid. Clean crutchings free from seed brought Spl to Dpi; and lost of poor colour and lines showing seed were proportionately lower.
