ROTORUA IN A GALE
CABINS SWAMPED—DOINGS OF A HEAVY SEA, (By Telegraph—Press Association.] Wellington, last night. The Rotorua had a rough trip from Nelson. The vessel was swept by yvave:-: repeatedly. ’ Most of the cabins wero swamped. A heavy sea battered in the after-skylight, snapped the bell from its fittings, and twisted the compass-case like a kerosene-tin run over by a train. Several deck-seats were lost.
