Improvements : During the season the asphalt court has been repaired at at cost of £34, £9 of which is to be borne by the club, the balance having been provided by the President. Championship meeting: On tho suggestion of tho President, it was decided to hold annually two single championship events, open to ladies and gentlemen resident for three months in tho counties of Cook, Waiapu, and Wairoa, for which the President presented two silver Cups, to be hold by the winner of eacli event for twelve months, and which are to become the absolute property of the player holding them for three consecutive years. Tho Club also presents the winner of each event with a gold medal. Mrs H. N. Watson and Mr \V. J. Barlow \yon the events last season, and hold the cups until the next meeting, which will take place on the 20th and 27th December next. Croquet : Last season very little croquet was played, and the retiring committee would suggest that one court be set aside solely for players of this game, and that an up-to-date set of materials be provided. Tournaments : During the season a number of handicap tournaments were played, and brought forth some large holds and some very close and interesting matches. Thanks : The thanks of the Club are duo to the President (Dr Craig) for the amount of trouble and expense gono to by him in providing cups for the championship events and renovating tho asphalt court, both of ,'vhicli will go a long way in keeping tho club together and improving the play of members. Dr Craig also provided a trophy for the men’s handicap singles, which was won by Mr W. J. Barlow. Thanks are also duo to the ladies of tho Club who provided afternoon tea, especially Mrs A. W. Bees.

The report was adopted. The following officers were elected for the ensuing year: —President, Dr Craig; Vice-Presidents, Messrs McLornoii, Alann, Alaefarlane, E.II. Alurpby. IT. X. Watson, T. B. Garlick; Hon. Secretary, Air 0. 11. Butler ; Treasurer, Air T. B. Garlick. It was decided to encourage players to take more interest in the croquet by setting aside one court exclusively for their use, and getting an up-to-date croquet sot; also to start a tournament as soon as the season opened.

Eighteen new members were elected, and it was mentioned that more were likely to come up for eloction as soon as the season opened.

The courts are in very good order, and considering the number of first-class players who have arrived in the district lately, the season should be a record one, and the championship events which take place on December 20 and 27, should he looked forward to with interest by all lovers of the game. It was decided to open the season with an “At Home" as soon as the courts were ready, probably in a fortnight or three weeks’ time.
