It contains Prince Ching’s cordial thanks to tho British for safely guarding the Summer Palace treasures at Pekin. At the instance of the Governments of Great Britain and America, a Chinese Imperial edict lias been issued, restoring his former honors to the lato Li Hung Chang as special Chinese Ambassador to Groat Britain on the occasion of Queen Victoria’s Diamond Jubilee.
