THE PREMIER AT LEVIN.

Wellington, last night. The Premier to-day turned the water into the head race of the irrigation works at Le vin. In the course of his speech he mentioned that lime was very much wanted in the district, and said it would be a good thing to have lime kilns in the hands of the Government, and to supply lime to settlers at cost price.
