Messrs Bichardson and Co.'s s.s. Fanny (Captain Nelson) arrived from Napier yesterday morning, bringing 211 rams and 280 packages and cases of sundries. The Fanny returned to Napier in the evening. The U.S.S. Company’s s.s. Omapere (Captain Gregory) arrived from Wostport and Napier yesterday morning, and after discharging a quantity of coal, left for Coastal ports and Auckland. Passengers : Outward : Misses Thomson, Taylor, Vincent, Kennedy, Beddingfield, Mrs Sherwood and 2 children.
The Waihi leaves for Tolago Bay this morning for a shipment of wool. The schooner Waiapu returns to the Coast to-day for a quantity of wool. Between two and three hundred bales of wool were brought by the Waiapu from Pakarae on Tuesday, for transhipment into the barque Armenia. The loading at Pakarae was accomplished under splendid circumstances, the whole consignment being, received on board the schooner without a single bale getting wet.
