Business was resumed iu Bastoral session, The second reading of stations was the first order of tho day. After the second reading of stations discussion arose concerning the rights of laymen. The Rev. Bond moved fur the appointment of a committee to prepare a lemitfortbe consideration of the district Synods, and to report at next Conference. After debate the motion was carried.

At the evening session the Rev. Peters delivered an interesting address on the impressions he received during his recent visit to England. Dr Morley presented a report of Church buildings anil the loan fund balancesheets for both special and ordinary branches, which were adopted. The report mentioned that the Trustees having repaid instalments of loans in advance on twenty-one loans caused the final payment of twenty new loans granted. A special report was presented on cases in which a departure from the regulation occurred. Considerable discussion ensued. A resolution was carried expressing regret concerning the above cases, and calling the attention of the superintendents and trustees to the necessity of observing the regulations. The appointment of a committee was deferred to a later stage.
