THE CHAMPIONSHIPS.

[By Telegraph—Press Association.] Christchurch, last night. The Inter-College Championship sports meeting started this morning. The weather was perfect. There was a large attendance of spectators. Moyes, C.C., 1 ; A. E. Flower, C.C., 2 ; A. S. Henderson, V.C., 8. Time, 24sec. Long Jump Championship (Standard 20ft). : P. H. Buck, 0.U., 19ft. 9in., 1; E. P. Rice, C.C., 19ft. 54in., 2 ; 0. G. Poison, C.C., 18ft. 74m., 3. The Championship points to date are : Victoria College 16, Canterbury College j 13, Otago University 10, Auckland 1. Later.—At tho Inter-Collegiate tournament and athletic sports Moyes, of Can. terbury, won the 100yds in 10 3-5 sec; A. Henderson, of Wellington, the half mile in 2.3 1-5. The best performances are: Canterbury 44 points, Otago 24, Wellington 22, Auckland 10. The weather was good, with a slight easterly breeze.
