THE PREMIER

By Telegraph—Press Association. Napier, Saturday. The Premier arrived from Gisborne by tho Tutanekai this morning, and was welcomed by the Mayor and Councillors and a largo gathering of citizens. Addresses were given by the Mayor and Mr A. L. D. Fraser, M.H.B. The former read a eopv of an address to be presented to the Premier at the chief centres of the colony, expressive of appreciation and approval of his prompt and practical patriotism in connection with the South African struggle. The premier replied, thanking the Mayor and townspeople for their hearty reception. . Mr Seddon was afterwards entertained at a lunch, and left by special train for .aune virke.
