ADELAIDE, March 29’ A comrade of Morant’s jilting from Fretoria an February 27 th, states that Morant and Handco-w were sh that morning. Both officers kept up bravely and died like men. Morant was well known throughout Australia as a daring, reckless horseman. He enlisted in South’ Africa as a private for a lime prior to ioining the Carbineers. He acted as war correspondent for some
