By' a railway accident to a military train at Barberton on the 30th March, thirty-nine were killed and forty-five injured. The second battalion of Harnpshires had twenty killed and eleven injured ; tho Fourth Hampshires live killed and two injured; the volunteer company of Hampshires eight killed aud twenty-seven injured. The Fourth East Surreys, Fifth Leinsters, and Second East Kent regiments also suffered.

DEATH OF A NAPIER SOLDIER. By Telegraph—Press Association. Napier, last night. The Mayor received a telegram this evening, stating that his nephew, Sydney Northe, had died in South Africa on February 16th of enteric fover. Northe was a member of tho First Now Zealand Contingent, and returned to tho colony with "Lieut. Hughes, afterwards going again to South Africa.
